With the Jimmy Fund telethon coming up quickly, the charity organization is making its annual push to get its voice out there and raise awareness.
As part of that effort, Tim, a patient of the Jimmy Fund Clinic, got the chance to chat a little bit with Red Sox third baseman Will Middlebrooks, and even got to ask him who his favorite player was growing up. It turns out that Middlebrooks played shorstop when he was younger and naturally idolized Cal Ripken, Jr. Luckily for Red Sox fans, not only did Middlebrooks enjoy Ripken's talent, but tried to emulate the way the Iron Man played the game.
Either way, the Jimmy Fund Radio-Telethon begins August 21, and it's your chance to give back and help strike out cancer.
