Zach Stewart‘s first start with the Red Sox didn’t go exactly as planned, but it did go. That might be all that Red Sox fans can expect the rest of this season, as young players test themselves against major league competition, some of them for the first time.
Sure, it wasn’t pretty at times and Stewart’s ERA with the Sox stands at 27.00, but that’s the price that the team will pay in the short term in the hopes of Stewart developing past that and emerging better for it on the other side.
