Report: Larry Fitzgerald Nearly Traded to Philadelphia in 2008Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald is
one of the best in the game, but he was pretty close to being one of the
best in the game for another team before a trade fell through in 2008.

Philadelphia offered Arizona a first- and third-round draft pick for Fitzgerald, according to CSNPhilly.com, but the Cardinals decided against the deal and signed Fitzgerald to a contract extension instead.

Can you imagine if the Eagles got their hands on Fitzgerald and had Donovan McNabb — or now Michael Vick — throwing the ball his way downfield? A deal of that caliber could have made the Eagles' Super Bowl odds skyrocket.

But would Fitzgerald be as successful with the Eagles as he's been with the Cardinals? That's up for debate.
