It's been quite a while since Rich Hill stepped on a major league mound — June 8, in fact.
Since then, the left-hander has been on the 60-day disabled list with an elbow issue that now appears to be ironed out. Hill has been a starter for much of his career — he had a couple of very solid seasons with the Chicago Cubs, in fact — but he's certainly gotten used to the bullpen, and he was expected to be a key cog for Bobby Valentine in 2012.
Before Hill's first game action, Naoko Funayama caught up with the southpaw to talk about several subjects. Check it out in the video above.
