Last winter the UMass-Lowell River Hawks took their game to a new level, posting a 17-9-1 record in Hockey East. However, one good season doesn't make a team, it's surpassing your best and that is exactly what this scrappy squad intends to do.
Last season's success was led offensively by Senior Riley Wetmore who led the River Hawks in scoring with 39 points. UMass-Lowell had four forwards on their roster who tallied 30 points or more, and in order to repeat their team success they will also need to duplicate their success on offense.
Head Coach and UMass-Lowell graduate Norm Bazin is entering his second season with the Hawks and is looking to duplicate and surpass the successes of the 2011-12 campaign. To hear Bazin talk about his team and the upcoming season check out the video above.
