Ichiro Suzuki has been studying how to avoid tags from Major League's Willie Mays Hayes.
Ichiro scored from first base on a long double by Robinson Cano Monday night and had to run all the way around home plate to avoid catcher Matt Wieters' tag.
The cut-off throw from second baseman Robert Andino beat the Yankees' left fielder by a mile, but some quick thinking and swift moves helped Ichiro put the Yankees ahead 1-0. Ichiro has been one of the best contact hitters in MLB history, but he showed off some moves avoiding Wieters that would make an NFL punt returner jealous.
