Paul Kelly ‘Hasn’t Seen’ Reason for Optimism About NHL Labor Negotiations (Video)

About eight days ago, things looked (relatively) good for the NHL season.

Negotiations between the owners and the players’ association looked to be moving along healthily, and the fear of a season being lost subsided momentarily. Then those talks broke down because of an unwillingness to budge on certain core issues by both sides. And again, the season hangs in the balance.

So have you come for optimism? Unfortunately you’ll find none here, as former NHLPA executive director Paul Kelly told NESN Daily, things don’t look good. Hear everything he had to say in the wake of commissioner Gary Bettman‘s suggestion of a two-week break in negotiations in the video above.
