Jerry York is alone at the top of the record books.
The Boston College head coach became the winningest coach in NCAA hockey history on Saturday, passing Ron Mason. The No. 1 Eagles beat Alabama-Hunstville 5-2 for York’s 925th win.
York starting his coaching career at Clarkson University in Potsdam, N.Y., in 1972. He moved on to Bowling Green in 1979, where he won a national championship in 1984, before coming to Boston College in 1994. York has brought the Eagles four national championship titles, in 2001, 2008, 2010 and 2012. He also played at Boston College from 1963 to 1967 as a center.
