It’s hard to believe that when the World Junior Championship began this year, Johnny Gaudreau wasn’t even on the United States’ first line.
Well, like the U.S. itself, Gaudreau has had a meteoric rise during the tournament. On Saturday morning, he and the U.S. will be vying with Sweden for the gold medal in what would be a major victory for the institution of American hockey.
