Though David Krejci was the one that put the puck in the net, every skater played a part in the Bruins’ third goal Tuesday night.
Zdeno Chara controlled the puck in the Bruins zone before sending a pass to Nathan Horton streaking down the right side. Horton’s centering pass to Milan Lucic drew in both Islanders defensemen, leaving Krejci wide open for the one-timer. It was a textbook example of passing at its best, and the goal provided the dagger in what would eventually become a 4-1 Bruins win.
