The numbers say it all. The Bruins’ second line — consistent of Patrice Bergeron, Brad Marchand and Tyler Seguin — has put up 46 points over its last 13 games. The top line, meanwhile — featuring Milan Lucic, Nathan Horton and David Krejci — has seen a drought, with Horton and Lucic having not scored in eight of their previous 10 games, respectively.
The Bruins know that, if they’re going to make a deep playoff run this year, they simply need more offensive production from their top forward trio. Lucic, for his part, thinks the problem might be a mindset issue, but either way he admits him and his linemates need to step it up.
