Bruins’ Matinee Struggles Won’t Prevent Fans From Enjoying Benefits of Early Start Times (Video)

The Bruins took a while to wake up against the Lightning on Saturday afternoon, but that shouldn’t surprise anyone who has watched the team play matinees the last few years.

Boston was just 6-7-2 last year during the regular season in afternooners, and that trend of mediocrity looked sure to continue against Tampa thanks to two early goals by the visitors. Luckily, the B’s stormed back to make the game competitive — likely thanks to the support of the home crowd at the TD Garden.
