The Bruins took a 3-0 lead in the first period against Washington on Tuesday, only to surrender four straight goals in a crushing overtime loss. The B’s built a three-goal lead again Saturday against the Flyers, but they wouldn’t let this one get away.
Tuukka Rask saved 23 shots to pick up his second shutout of the season, and the Finnish netminder praised the play of the defensemen in front of him after the game.
“I think I saw pretty much every puck,” Rask said. “They didn’t have that many shots before that last [10-15] minutes, but overall we did a great job of clearing those pucks out.”
