Will Middlebrooks Willing to Accept an Error to Keep No-Hitter Going

Clay Buchholz almost had himself a no-hitter on Sunday against the Tampa Bay Rays. The right-hander didn’t give up his first hit until the eighth inning of the Red Sox’ 5-0 win.

The stellar outing was backed up by solid defensive play from the Sox’ position players, including third baseman Will Middlebrooks. Middlebrooks told reporters after the game that he would have done everything in his power to keep the no-no going.

Check out what Middlebrooks said in the video above.
