The Bruins last matched up against the Pittsburgh Penguins on April 20, 2013, and the B’s are sporting quite the new look since then.
The Eastern Conference finals will see the fourth-seeded Bruins match up against the No. 1-seeded Penguins, and the biggest asset the B’s have going for them is one that started out as a potential liability — a young defense. The thrilling trio of Matt Bartkowski, Dougie Hamilton and Torey Krug has stunned each team the Bruins have matched up against so far. The Pens haven’t seen first-hand what Krug can do, and the Bruins can use that to their advantage.
