John Lackey on Point Again for Red Sox, But Acknowledges Arm Strength Isn’t ‘All The Way There Yet’ (Video)

John Lackey has turned in two of his most impressive performances in a Red Sox uniform over the past six days.

The veteran right-hander completed his second straight outing without allowing an earned run Friday night, scattering a pair of unearned runs on three hits and three walks over the 13-inning span. This is a very welcome sign for Red Sox fans, especially since, according to the pitcher himself, Lackey is still not fully recovered from elbow surgery he underwent last season.

Check out Lackey’s take on his most recent win in video above or on NESN’s YouTube channel.

Aetna Strikeouts for A Cause

For every strikeout by a Red Sox pitcher at Fenway Park in June, Aetna will donate $250 to Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program. Through June 25, the donation mark stands at $30,000.

Through their continued efforts in the local community, Aetna is helping to build a healthier world -- one city and one strikeout at a time.
