Stephen Drew Using Past Experiences to Push Himself In Season (Video)

The Red Sox signed shortstop Stephen Drew to a one-year, $9.5 million free agent contract in the offseason, and Drew missed most of spring training because of a concussion. The season certainly did not start out as Drew had anticipated, but the shortstop is slowly getting his groove in Boston.

Drew is batting .205 with 3 home runs, 18 RBIs and a .305 on-base percentage and his grand slam capped off a win against the Tampa Bay Rays earlier in the season. Though he is on his way back up, Drew is taking the season game-to-game.

Hear what he had to say about his early struggles in the above video or on NESN’s YouTube channel.
