“Heartbreaking” doesn’t begin to describe the ending to the Bruins’ season, but it’ll do for now.
After a stunning loss at the hands of the Blackhawks, the Bruins’ season is over, and Chicago is home to the Stanley Cup. After an incredible, unbelievable, heart-wrenching, stomach-punching marathon of a postseason, it seems almost unfair that a single 17-second stretch was the deciding one for the B’s. Then again, after surviving the Maple Leafs and rolling through the Rangers and Penguins, maybe the Bruins have something to thank the hockey gods for after all.
