The New England Patriots are the kind of organization that likes to keep a low profile, and handles its business internally. That begs the obvious question: With that kind of modus operandi, why would the Pats want to sign Tim Tebow and take on the circus that follows him?
According to former Patriot Matt Chatham, Tebow may not bring quite as much attention to the team as some may think. Because Tebow is showing up for minicamp rather than OTAs — which are fully open to the media — there’s less of an opportunity for press to descend upon Foxboro and create a spectacle.
