David Ortiz Ties DH Hits Record, Says Red Sox Games ‘Never Over Until the Last Out’ (Video)

The Red Sox had quite the game Tuesday night, and it’s no coincidence that David Ortiz had a big game, too.

The Boston designated hitter was once again the power behind the Sox’ attack, going 4-for-5 with a home run as Boston racked up 16 hits and five home runs on its way to its 11-8 win over the Mariners.

On top of the win, the night also marked several special occasions for Ortiz. He broke the all-time hits record at the DH position and also celebrated the birthday of his son. He had thoughts on that, as well as what makes this Red Sox team so good, after the win.

See what Ortiz had to say to Jamie Erdahl on NESN Sports Today.

Aetna Strikeouts for A Cause

For every strikeout by a Red Sox pitcher at Fenway Park in June, Aetna will donate $250 to Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program. Through June 25, the donation mark stands at $30,000.

Through their continued efforts in the local community, Aetna is helping to build a healthier world -- one city and one strikeout at a time.
