Just when it seemed like the Red Sox were finally out of the woods when it came to reliever questions, a dark cloud settled back over the bullpen.

Reliever Andrew Miller will undergo season-ending surgery to repair ligament damage in his left foot, leaving Boston with Craig Breslow as the only left-handed reliever on the roster. Sox general manager Ben Cherington talked with reporters before Monday night’s game against the Mariners, and he said the team is open to the trade market in their search to find another reliever.

Hear what else Cherington had to say in the video above.

Aetna Strikeouts for A Cause

For every strikeout by a Red Sox pitcher at Fenway Park in June, Aetna will donate $250 to Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program. Through June 25, the donation mark stands at $30,000.

Through their continued efforts in the local community, Aetna is helping to build a healthier world -- one city and one strikeout at a time.
