Red Sox Fans Volunteering in Haiti Bring Happiness to Children Through Hats (Video)

Red Sox Nation extends far and wide in the United States, but with one accidental gesture, the fanbase is expanding to Haiti.

Mark Sullivan, a businessman from Connecticut, began volunteering with the Haitian Health Foundation in 2011 and was inspired by the work of Dr. Jeremiah Lowney and his daughter Marilyn — die-hard Red Sox fans and the driving force of the foundation. Still rebuilding after the devastating earthquake in 2010, Sullivan learned quickly how much the little things mean to the children of Haiti.

Sullivan began bringing Red Sox hats and clothes on his trips to Haiti, and with each trip he makes, the collection of donated Sox gear grows, just as the number of unlikely fans grow, as well.

Check out the newest Red Sox fans in the above video.
