Shawn Thornton does great things for the Bruins on the ice, but off the ice he does even better things.
The B’s forward hosted his fourth annual “Putts and Punches for Parkinson’s” golf tournament Monday afternoon. Thornton started the event four years ago after the death of his grandmother who battled the disease for fourteen years, but he wasn’t the only Bruin raising money for the cause.
Thornton was joined on the green by Daniel Paille and Tuukka Rask who spoke highly of the example their teammate was setting for them.
