The Boston Bruins’ fourth line provides much-needed energy on many shifts each game, and Thursday night’s matchup with the Dallas Stars was no exception.

The Merlot Line provided a strong shift in the first period by winning puck battles along the boards, supporting the puck and spending a lot of time in the attacking zone. The shift ended with a quality scoring chance, although the goal from Gregory Campbell was waved off because of a distinct kicking motion.
