Jonas Hiller was a busy man during the first period of Tuesday night’s game against the Boston Bruins, but the Anaheim Ducks goaltender proved he wasn’t afraid to be tested.
Hiller faced 16 shots in the first period alone, but one from the stick of Brad Marchand prompted what might have been his most impressive save of the night. After some great puck movement, Reilly Smith dished the puck to Patrice Bergeron, who found Brad Marchand creeping toward the front of the net. Marchand fired off a solid attempt, but Hiller made a remarkable glove save on the shot, sliding across the crease to keep the Bruins scoreless in the first.
