Shawn Thornton‘s return certainly is an anticipated one, but he isn’t the only Boston Bruin hitting the ice after a 15-game layoff.
Loui Eriksson also will be back on the ice Saturday night, more than one month after he suffered his second concussion of the season during a Dec. 7 matchup against the Pittsburgh Penguins. Thornton reminded viewers of Eriksson’s return during NESN’s pregame broadcast as he fielded a couple of questions about his own play before giving a nice shout-out to his teammate.
Thornton was asked what the Bruins need to do to keep from going 0-3 during their California swing, and his response was filled with high praise for Eriksson.
Check out what Thornton had to say in the above video.
