Dave Mellor Prepares Fenway Park For Opening Day On Friday (Video)

The last time the Boston Red Sox were on the field at Fenway Park, they were celebrating a World Series championship.

On Friday, the boys will be back in Boston and it is Dave Mellor who is ensuring everything at the ballpark is in tip-top shape for the defending champs. Entering his 30th season in the majors, the director of grounds at Fenway Park is working hard to make sure the field is ready for Opening Day in Boston.

It’s not an easy job maintaining¬†the grounds at Fenway — especially when it moonlights as a hockey rink and a concert venue — but Mellor is always up for the challenge.

Aetna Strikeouts for A Cause

For every strikeout by a Red Sox pitcher at Fenway Park in June, Aetna will donate $250 to Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program. Through June 25, the donation mark stands at $30,000.

Through their continued efforts in the local community, Aetna is helping to build a healthier world -- one city and one strikeout at a time.
