David Krejci Doubles Bruins’ Lead With First-Period Goal (Video)

The Boston Bruins doubled their lead to 2-0 when David Krejci scored on a rebound during the first period of Saturday’s afternoon matinee against the Buffalo Sabres.

After defenseman Dougie Hamilton skated the puck in the attacking zone, Zdeno Chara got the puck at the point and fired a shot on net. Sabres goaltender Matt Hackett stopped that shot, but he couldn’t corral the loose puck and Krejci pounced on it to score with a backhand.

During the 2015-16 season, Berkshire Bank Foundation will donate $200 to Habitat for Humanity for each successful penalty kill by the Bruins and has raised $21,760 total through Feb. 11.
