The Boston Red Sox lost their third straight game Sunday afternoon to the Milwaukee Brewers, but the impressive play of rookie shortstop Xander Bogaerts is an encouraging sign.
He tallied another hit Sunday to improve his batting average and on-base percentage while also making a bit of history.
Bogaerts is the 1st AL player age 21 or younger to reach base 11+ times over a team’s 1st 5 games of a season since Reggie Jackson in 1968.—
