The last two times the Boston Bruins made it to the Stanley Cup finals– in 2011 and 2013 — David Krejci racked up 23 and 26 points, respectively, in the postseason. During the 2013-14 Stanley Cup playoffs, the top line center has just three points.
It’s clear to anyone watching the games that Krejci hasn’t been as effective during his time on ice during this postseason, but Bruins coach Claude Julien hasn’t lost faith in the center and his top line.
“We’ve seen them at their best, and a little adversity is what they’re facing right now,” Julien said. “But they’ve been as steady as we could have asked for the entire year, so to me, it’s just a matter of time and they’ll find their groove again.”
