The Boston Bruins are preparing for what could be a series-clinching Game 6 on Monday, but much of the chatter after the Bruins’ Game 5 win has revolved around some off-the-ice antics.
B’s winger Shawn Thornton squirted water at Montreal Canadiens defenseman P.K. Subban during the final minute of Saturday’s game, earning himself a $2,820.52 fine from the NHL. Thornton later apologized for his actions, telling reporters that he’s sorry the “silly incident” overshadowed what was a dominant Bruins win.
