Sox Bullpen Deals Through Eight Innings In Another Unfortunate Loss (Video)

The Boston Red Sox lost their ninth-straight game, and it seems as though nothing is going their way.

The 6-5 loss to the Tampa Bay Rays at Tropicana Field was yet another tough one. The Sox took a very early 5-0 lead in the first inning, and starting pitcher Jake Peavy looked in control until three runs by the Rays in the fifth had the score tied at five.

The bullpen was handling things from the seventh through the 15th inning until an error by pitcher Andrew Miller ultimately did the Sox in.

Check out Don Orsillo and Jerry Remy’s analysis of the unfortunate loss in the video above.

Aetna Strikeouts for A Cause

For every strikeout by a Red Sox pitcher at Fenway Park in June, Aetna will donate $250 to Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program. Through June 25, the donation mark stands at $30,000.

Through their continued efforts in the local community, Aetna is helping to build a healthier world -- one city and one strikeout at a time.
