Dennis Eckersley: Scott Kazmir Experiencing Impressive Resurgence With Athletics (Video)

The Boston Red Sox were riding high on strong pitching at Fenway Park, only to have the elation cut short when they hit the road to the West Coast.

The Sox took on the Oakland Athletics at the Coliseum on Thursday night, and the A’s pitchers effectively silenced the Sox’s bats. A’s starter Scott Kazmir, along with the Oakland bullpen, struck out 10 Red Sox batters, and could have easily left Boston scoreless.

Kazmir is on the comeback trail after spending a fair amount of time in the minor leagues, and has rejuvinated his career in his time with the A’s.

Check out the video above to hear Dennis Eckersley’s take on Kazmir.

Aetna Strikeouts for A Cause

For every strikeout by a Red Sox pitcher at Fenway Park in June, Aetna will donate $250 to Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program. Through June 25, the donation mark stands at $30,000.

Through their continued efforts in the local community, Aetna is helping to build a healthier world -- one city and one strikeout at a time.
