Brock Holt has been downright studly for the Boston Red Sox this season — so much so that the team is willing to get creative to keep him in the lineup.
The young third baseman, who is batting .326/.371/.474 this season, has proven that he belongs on the major league roster and that he deserves to be playing every day. With the addition of Stephen Drew, Holt tried his hand at first base, and with Mike Napoli set to return to the diamond soon, he could be seeing some action in the outfield.
Holt’s hot bat has certainly been impressing Red Sox nation, but it’s also been exactly what manager John Farrell had hoped for in the young star.
