John Farrell Dishes On Brandon Workman’s Six-Game Suspension (Video)

Boston Red Sox pitcher Brandon Workman was suspended six games by Major League Baseball on Tuesday for throwing a ball near Tampa Bay Rays third baseman Evan Longoria’s head during a game last weekend at Fenway Park.

Two innings before the Longoria incident, both dugouts emptied after Rays starter David Price hit Mike Carp in the bottom of the fourth. No punches were thrown, but three Red Sox coaches were ejected over the course of the night.

Check out Red Sox manager John Farrell’s reaction to the league’s ruling in the video above.

Aetna Strikeouts for A Cause

For every strikeout by a Red Sox pitcher at Fenway Park in June, Aetna will donate $250 to Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program. Through June 25, the donation mark stands at $30,000.

Through their continued efforts in the local community, Aetna is helping to build a healthier world -- one city and one strikeout at a time.
