David Ortiz: Chris Archer Is ‘Not The Right Guy’ To Be Talking

1,962

Chris Archer didn’t have kind things to say about David Ortiz after the slugger flipped his bat and took his time after hitting a massive three-run homer in the Boston Red Sox’s 3-2 win over the Tampa Bay Rays on Sunday.

“He feels like he’s bigger than the game,” Archer said.

Big Papi had a big response for the Rays pitcher, and it will definitely add fuel to the fire of the Red Sox-Rays rivalry.

“Whatever, dude. There’s always going to be comments out there,” Ortiz said. “He’s not the right guy to be saying that, I don’t think. He’s got two days in the league, (shouldn’t) be (expletive) and complaining about (expletive) like that.”

Ouch.

In case you were wondering, the next time these teams play will be a four-game series starting August 29 at Tropicana Field.

Aetna Strikeouts for A Cause

For every strikeout by a Red Sox pitcher at Fenway Park in June, Aetna will donate $250 to Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program. Through June 25, the donation mark stands at $30,000.

Through their continued efforts in the local community, Aetna is helping to build a healthier world -- one city and one strikeout at a time.
