The Boston Red Sox had an opportunity to dump buckets of water on their bosses, and they gladly accepted it.
But it was all for a good cause, of course.
The Red Sox front office was nominated to take the Ice Bucket Challenge to raise awareness for ALS, and they accepted. The whole crew — including part-owners Larry Lucchino and Tom Werner — took the field before Thursday’s game against the Los Angeles Angels, and the team drenched them with ice cold water.
The Sox brass nominated Liverpool FC, the Pawtucket Red Sox and The Boston Globe.
