Joe Kelly On Rough Outing Vs. Astros: ‘I Wasn’t Very Good Today’ (Video)

Joe Kelly’s first career start at Fenway Park didn’t go as planned for the Boston Red Sox right-hander.

After two solid road outings with Boston, Kelly struggled mightily at home, surrendering seven runs on seven hits and a career-high six walks in four innings. It was a brutal day for Kelly, and a Xander Bogaerts misplay certainly didn’t help matters, but the right-hander took the responsibility for the 8-1 loss — his first in a Red Sox uniform — after the game.

Aetna Strikeouts for A Cause

For every strikeout by a Red Sox pitcher at Fenway Park in June, Aetna will donate $250 to Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program. Through June 25, the donation mark stands at $30,000.

Through their continued efforts in the local community, Aetna is helping to build a healthier world -- one city and one strikeout at a time.
