Mookie Betts is getting more comfortable on the big league field.
The Boston Red Sox outfielder crushed a solo home run — his second of the year — in the fifth inning of the team’s 4-3 victory over the Toronto Blue Jays, and he’s been swinging the bat better overall since his latest call-up on Aug. 18. In that stretch, Betts is batting .280 (7-for-25) and said that it’s all about getting used to being a major league ballplayer.
“I’m learning something every day out there,” Betts said.
