The Milwaukee Brewers are worth monitoring as the Major League Baseball non-waiver trade deadline approaches.
The Brewers are under .500 and in fourth place in the National League Central, which is being dominated by the Chicago Cubs. They could become sellers before July 31, and All-Star outfielder Ryan Braun is one potential trade candidate who could swing the balance of power in the NL.
The #SFGiants are looking everywhere for another OF, and have had preliminary talks with #Brewers about Ryan Braun, but nothing imminent.

The San Francisco Giants need an outfielder and reportedly have explored the possibility of trading for Braun, who entered Monday hitting .316 with 11 home runs, 36 RBIs and a .919 OPS. A deal isn’t on the immediate horizon, according to USA TODAY’s Bob Nightengale, but Braun would give the Giants another impact bat as they attempt to fend off the Los Angeles Dodgers and Co. atop the NL West.
Braun, a six-time All-Star, is making $20 million this season. The 32-year-old then is owed $76 million over the next four years, making him an expensive investment, though the Brewers probably would be forced to eat some of the money in order to complete a trade.
