But there’s so much more that goes into a Major League Baseball trade, especially a blockbuster like the one Dave Dombrowski pulled off Tuesday to acquire one of the best pitchers in baseball.
So, how did Sale wind up in a Red Sox uniform? Boston’s president of baseball operations sat down with NESN’s Tom Caron at Fenway Park on Saturday during the Red Sox’s “Christmas at Fenway” event to break it all down, from his initial conversations with White Sox general manager Rick Hahn to a potential hold-up involving a delayed flight.
