As a member of Al Skinner’s squad from 2003 to 2007, Dudley’s accomplishments were many: He helped BC cement itself as a premier member of the Atlantic Coast Conference, made four trips to March Madness, and took home the ACC’s top honor as a senior, when he was named Player of the Year.
Now, he’s back in the area to run a youth basketball camp, and he took some time to chat about it with NESN’s John Chandler.
“Hopefully, my next career will [be] a coaching career,” he joked.
He may have moved on to bigger things in Phoenix, but Dudley certainly hasn’t forgotten his BC roots. He returned to Chestnut Hill in 2009 to watch his alma mater beat Duke for the first time in 24 years.
“I bum-rushed the floor with [the fans] and had a little fun,” he said. “But this [upcoming] year will be a whole new transition. Tyrese Rice left, so everybody that I played with is now gone. They’ve got a whole new set of guys — all juniors — so I’m expecting big things.”
