With each passing day, Bruins fans wonder whether or not they'll see Phil Kessel suit up for the home team at the Garden next season. As it turns out, there's an entirely different group of fans hoping Kessel's new home will be a completely different Garden.

According to the New York Post, the New York Rangers have talked seriously with the Boston Bruins about working out a deal for the restricted free agent but have not had any discussions lately. If they want to acquire Kessel, the Rangers will have to act quickly.

With a little more than a month remaining until teams must be under the $56.8 million salary cap, time is running out for both sides to work out a deal, and according to the report, two other teams have upped their bids for Kessel.

A move may be necessary for the Bruins, who are strapped for cap space.
