Sheehan’s Two Blasts, Brito’s Two-Hitter Lead Lincoln to Win

Lincoln (R.I.) scored four runs in the third and added three more in the sixth en route to a 9-1 pounding of Brattleboro (Vt.).

Joel Sheehan went 4-for-4 to lead Lincoln, including two home runs. He also scored three runs and had two RBIs. Starting pitcher Sam Brito threw 5 2/3 innings of two-hit ball, allowing just one run and striking out 10. He also went 2-for-3 at the plate, scoring two runs.

With Monday’s victory, Lincoln improved to 2-1. Brattleboro fell to 1-2.
