After four losses through the first seven games of the 2009-10 season, neither the Bruins nor head coach Claude Julien have been able to answer many questions asked of them to this point.
On Saturday, Julien added one more to that list when the Boston Globe's Fluto Shinzawa asked him about winger Milan Lucic's broken finger.
“Right now, the severity of it, we’re not 100 percent sure,’’ Julien told the reporter. “We’ll evaluate it with our own doctors once we get home. We’ll probably have more news by the beginning of the week.’’
Lucic missed Saturday's disappointing defeat to the Coyotes with a broken right index finger which he is believed to have suffered during Friday night's win over the Stars in Dallas — his first game since being dropped down to the second line in Julien's attempt to shake up the offense.
Guillaume Lefebvre got the nod from Providence to replace Lucic. The bruiser (25 penalty minutes in four P-Bruins games) found a spot on the fourth line with Steve Begin and Shawn Thornton while Byron Bitz moved up to play right wing with David Krejci and Blake Wheeler on the second line.
