Bundchen delivered a baby boy on Tuesday, People.com first reported. The magazine did not include the baby's name or size.
Brady confirmed the report at his Wednesday morning news conference at Gillette Stadium, saying that both the baby and Bundchen are healthy.
"I didn't get much sleep last night," he admitted, according to the Boston Herald's Ian Rapoport.
Brady knew the gender of the baby ahead of time.
"She's a very intelligent woman," he said of his wife earlier this month. "I wanted to find out, and she didn’t, so she said, 'Go ahead.' It will be a surprise for her."
Earlier on Wednesday, the Boston Herald asked Patriots spokesman Stacey James to confirm the report, to which James replied, "When’s the last time I’ve been able to confirm anything in Tom’s private life?"
