Boof Bonser Introduces Himself to Red Sox Nation One of the Red Sox’ offseason pitching acquisitions stood out more for his name than anything he’s accomplished on the mound. Boof Bonser would likely prefer to change that.

The 28-year-old talked with NESN’s Heidi Watney on Monday, and he said that he’s not feeling any pain after missing all of the 2009 season due to shoulder surgery.

“No, none, and that’s the good part of it — [being] able to throw and you don’t have to worry about anything,” he told Heidi.

With a crowded rotation and a competitive bullpen, Bonser said he’s willing to do whatever the team asks of him.

“It doesn’t matter,” he said. “As long as I’m out there throwing, I don’t care one bit.”
