Bruins Rally to Mark Stuart’s Defense, Take Down Rangers 2-1

Bruins Rally to Mark Stuart's Defense, Take Down Rangers 2-1 On Sunday, the Boston Bruins were trying to win just their second game at TD Garden in 2010.

Doing battle against the New York Rangers, things got heated early when Vinny Prospal checked Boston defenseman Mark
Stuart
from behind. The team raced to his defense, a bright spot in a season checkered by questions about playing with a lack of emotion.

Miroslav Satan netted his fifth goal while Dennis Wideman lit the lamp for the game-winner.

NESN’s Naoko Funayama checked in with Bruins players following the game, noting that one of the keys to Boston’s success is establishing an “early physical presence.”

As Milan Lucic told Funayama, “This was a game where we could have lost our cool and let our emotions get the better of us. … We kept it in check, did what we had to to win.”

Check out the video for the game highlights and reactions from players.
