Johnny Boychuk Ready to Help Bruins Make Run at Lord Stanley Tom Caron spoke with Bruins defenseman Johnny Boychuk, who just signed a two-year contract extension.

Boychuk said the decision to re-sign with the Bruins wasn’t a difficult one.

“I like Boston, I like the fans, I like the team, I like the coaching staff,” he said. “It was just the fact of just talking with the Bruins and settling a deal, and we got it done.”

Boychuk’s extension is for two years, $3.75 million.

The 26-year-old said that playing alongside a player like Zdeno Chara helped him out tremendously this past season.
