With Diamondbacks in Town, Drew Brothers Square Off The Arizona Diamondbacks open a three-game series with the Red Sox on Tuesday and that means that the brothers Drew will get to meet once again.

D-Backs shortstop Stephen Drew, the younger brother of Red Sox outfielder J.D. Drew, talked with Heidi Watney on Red Sox GameDay Live about being able to face his brother.

“Playing against him — there’s competition everywhere — but to play against him is a lot of fun,” Stephen Drew told Watney before Tuesday’s game at Fenway Park.

Stephen Drew also discussed what he learned about the game and about hitting from his big brother when Stephen was growing, up saying that J.D. was instrumental to his growth as a hitter.

“If it wasn’t for him, kinda helping me out, kinda watching, who knows what would have happened?” said Stephen Drew.

Both of the Drew brothers bring their best when the two get to play each other. Stephen is hitting .333, while J.D. has hit .375 in the 15 games between the two brothers’ teams.
